Essential oils are created from plants, leaves, roots, peels and other plant sources. The particles are extracted from the plants by a process called distilling. Even a single small drop of essential oil will have powerful healing properties. In the distillation process the water and oil are separated by steaming the plant components. These oils have great fragrance and have different uses such as beauty care, cosmetics and for treating several medical conditions.

Peppermint essential oil

This essential oil has a menthol like smell and it is mostly used in body care products and air fresheners. It is also used in chewing gum, toothpaste, ice-cream and tea as a flavoring agent.

This oil has a floral scent which is liked by majority of people. It has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antidepressant and antiseptic properties which helps treating anxiety, minor burns, insect bites, stings, wounds, hair loss, acne and several health issues related to women.

It also repels mosquitos effectively. You can use it on your body to keep the mosquitos away. It also treats stuffy nose and chest congestion. Putting few drops on your pillow can promote good sleep and treats insomnia.
